Leader of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) and Jathika Jana Balawega Anura Kumara Dissanayake says that the cabinet under his government will be limited to 25 members and that he will form a group of talented people for each subject.
This is not an individual magic act. Therefore, in the future, we will have a maximum of 25 Ministries and 25 Deputy Ministries in our country. Our country cannot go beyond that. Even 25 is a lot when compared to Japan. But we have to rebuild a broken country. Therefore, a certain number of ministries are needed.
What is the change? We will appoint a good team for that. Now if we take health as an example, we introduce our team that they are the ones who take the responsibility of building health. Nalinda Jayatissa is a doctor. We have our Specialist Dr. Nihal Abeysinghe, Prof. Nishantha Abeysinghe of Ragama Medical Faculty. They will be responsible for health.
Professor Anil Jayantha, Sunil Handunnetti, Wasantha Samarasinghe; they are the team in charge of our economy. We are creating a cabinet that is smarter, more understanding, dedicated, and honest than any other minister ever formed in this country. That cabinet rules the country ”
Anura Dissanayake stated this addressing a public meeting held at the Randiya Hotel in Moratuwa yesterday (20).
