October 05, Colombo (LNW): Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) General Secretary Venerable Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thero was brought before the Court of Appeal today as proceedings connected to outstanding warrants against him continued.
The monk was taken into custody after authorities acted on the warrants and was subsequently ordered to remain in remand custody until today by the Colombo Magistrate’s Court.
Gnanasara Thero was presented before the court by officers attached to the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD), following the consideration of a motion concerning the outstanding warrants before the Colombo Additional Magistrate yesterday.
The latest court appearance comes as legal proceedings surrounding the warrants move forward.
