Court Calls FCID Chief Over Shiranthi Rajapaksa Bail Application

October 06, Colombo (LNW): The Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court has directed the Officer-in-Charge of the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) to appear before the court on 12 October in relation to an anticipatory bail application filed by former First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa.

The court order comes as authorities continue to examine matters connected to the ‘Siriliya Saviya’ account, which is at the centre of the ongoing investigation.

The FCID officer has been summoned to assist the court as it considers the bail application and the circumstances surrounding the investigation.
