CAA sets MRP for eggs

Colombo (LNW): The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has issued an extraordinary gazette declaring a maximum retail price for the sale of eggs.

Accordingly,

The maximum retail price of a white egg: Rs. 44; the price for 01kg Rs. 880
The maximum retail price of a brown egg: Rs. 46; the price for 01kg Rs. 920
