Colombo (LNW): Director General of the Department of Archaeology Prof. Anura Manatunga has reportedly tendered his letter of resignation to the Ministry Secretary.
A copy of the letter has also been forwarded to Minister of Buddhist, Religious and Cultural Affairs Vidura Wickramanayake.
No reason has been provided from Prof. Manatunga’s end for the decision.
