Parliament appoints new Committee under Public Security Minister to eradicate drug menace

Colombo (LNW): Parliament has appointed a new Working Committee under the chairmanship of Public Security Minister Tiran Alles to supply observations and recommendations on the actions to be taken for the eradication of drug menace which at the moment is rapidly spreading across the country.

This was announced by Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena in Parliament yesterday (01).

The Committee comprises of twelve members including Ministers Sisira Jayakody and Seetha Arambepola, and MPs Buddhika Pathirana, Dr. Gayashan Navanandana, Thushara Indunil Amarasena, Upul Galappaththi, Maj. Sudarshana Denipitiya, Asanka Navaratna, Upul Mahendra Rajapaksa, Thavarajah Kalaiarasan, and Manjula Dissanayake.
