The price of 1-liter of water increased by 20 rupees!

The Sri Lanka Water Bottle Association has announced new prices following the cancellation of a gazette notification imposing a maximum retail price for drinking water bottles.

Accordingly, the price of a 500 ml bottle of drinking water has been increased from 35 rupees to 50 rupees.

The price of a 1-liter bottle of drinking water has been increased by 20 rupees from 50 rupees to 70 rupees.

The price of a 1.5-liter water bottle was previously 75 rupees and the new price is 90 rupees.

The price of a 5-liter water bottle has been increased to Rs. 200 and the price of a 7.5-liter water bottle has been increased to Rs. 240, said the President of the Sri Lanka Water Bottle Association Upul Senarath.
