The rumors that a valuable watch of MR has gone missing during SLPP rally are completely untrue

Sources say that the rumors that a valuable watch of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has gone missing during the massive rally of the SLPP held at Salgadu Grounds in Anuradhapura yesterday (09) are completely untrue.

On the stage of the rally, Ports and Shipping Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardena had attempted to grab Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa’s arm and raise it – a video of him angrily removing his arm from Abeygunawardena was widely circulated on social media.

It was after this video that news spread on social media networks that the Prime Minister’s watch was missing.

However, sources close to the Prime Minister said that the news was completely untrue.
