Police release details on juvenile’s death at Kalmunai detention centre

Colombo (LNW): Following reports on the death of a juvenile arrestee at a detention centre in Kalmunai, the head of the centre has been arrested.

The 17-year-old detainee, who was held at the juvenile detention centre after being arrested for alleged theft, was found dead.

His death has been initially ruled as a result of being assaulted, Police said.
