- For the first time in Sri Lanka’s history, the President has conferred the Honour of Senior Instructing Attorneys-at-Law, as per Act No. 26 of 2023, to the following inaugural recipients: Dr. J.M. Swaminathan, Mr. D.M. Swaminathan, Mr. G.G. Arulpragasam Ms. H.R A.D.P. Goonetilleke, Ms. S.N.M. Gunawardena.

- Colombo Chief Magistrate Thilina Gamage today ordered the Directors of ‘OnmaxDT’ – a private firm believed to have been operating a pyramid scheme, to prepare and submit to the court a process to pay back the investors who have invested money in the company.
- The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) has added one more entity to the list of entities/ applications prohibited for their involvement in pyramid schemes. Issuing a notice, the Central Bank said that Windex Trading has been added to the list of nine (09) banned entities.
