The cause? Rumors propagated by conspiratorial saboteurs suggesting an imminent dissolution of Parliament within the week.

Dr. Gunawardhana emphasized that such rumors were unfounded, clarifying that budget allocations have been earmarked for the Presidential Election scheduled for this year. He urged the public not to be misled by false statements, affirming the stability of the political landscape.
