Food prices soar at restaurants following gas price surge (VIDEO)

Date:

Food prices will soar at restaurants following the gas price revision, said Chairman of the Restaurant Owners Association and Consumer Rights Activist Asela Sampath, speaking to media today (27).

The move will be made in response to the astronomical price surge on LP gas, he pointed out.

Sampath added that 50 per cent of the restaurants have already been closed down and about 500,000 direct and indirect jobs have been lost.
