August 31, World (LNW): The number of people confirmed dead in Nepal has risen to 903, according to the country’s national disaster authority, as emergency teams continue efforts to locate those still missing.
Officials said around 4,200 people remain unaccounted for, highlighting the scale of the disaster and the challenges facing rescue and recovery operations.
Authorities are continuing to assess the damage and coordinate search efforts, with fears that the casualty figures could rise further as more affected areas are reached.
