September 17, Colombo (LNW): The Sri Lanka Police has temporarily stopped accepting online applications for Police Clearance Certificates while essential maintenance is being carried out on its Police Clearance Computer System.
Authorities said the interruption is temporary and will remain in place until the online platform has been restored and is ready to resume normal operations.
The Police Media Division said members of the public have already been provided with details of the alternative procedure to follow when submitting Police Clearance Certificate applications during the period in which the online service remains unavailable.
Meanwhile, Police Headquarters has established three dedicated telephone lines to assist applicants experiencing difficulties or seeking clarification concerning matters handled by the Police Clearance Division.
The numbers connect callers to the Special Operations Room at Police Headquarters, which is staffed around the clock. Applicants can use the service to report problems, obtain guidance or raise concerns relating to the submission of Police Clearance Certificate applications.
