Acceptance of nominations for the local government election is scheduled to end today (21) at 12.00 noon.
After that, the Election Commission says that one and a half hours will be given till 01.30 pm to raise objections regarding the nominations.
After the end of that period, the election officials will announce the political parties and independent groups competing for this year’s local government elections.
Also, the date of the local government election is also scheduled to be announced by the Election Commission after the acceptance of nominations is over.
