Headline inflation drops to 6.3 per cent in July

Colombo (LNW): The headline inflation as measured by the Colombo Consumer Price Index (CCPI) has further dropped to 6.3 per cent in July, compared to the previous month, revealed the Department of Census and Statistics.

The CCPI-based inflation was calculated as 12 per cent for June, 2023.

Meanwhile, the food inflation has also dropped to -1.4 per cent in July, from 4.1 per cent in June, 2023.
