Public Security Minister issues statement on recent unrest at Ratwatte Estate

Colombo (LNW): A statement has been made by Public Security Minister Tiran Alles in connection with the recent events at the Ratwatte Estate in the Elkaduwa Plantation in the Matale District, stressing that violence will not be allowed and urging the public and the estate community to refrain from taking the laws into their hands and to refrain from acting in such a manner.

Stringent action will be taken against anyone taking the laws into their hand and anyone aiding such behaviour by falling victim to incidents created by politicians and political parties, the Minister noted.
