Pushpika De Silva dethroned from Mrs. Sri Lanka 2021 title

Pushpika De Silva has been dethroned from her title as the Mrs. Sri Lanka 2021 with immediate effect as per the decision of the Organising Committee of the Mrs. Sri Lanka contest.

Chandimal Jayasinghe, National Director of Mrs. Sri Lanka, announced today (08) that Silva has been stripped off her her title as the Mrs. Sri Lanka.

Accordingly, the 2021 title will be bestowed upon the First Runner Up of the 2021 National Pageant, the statement said.

“It is to my understanding that Mrs. Pushpika De Silva, the title holder of 2021 Mrs. Sri Lanka for Mrs. World has made a series of false allegations against the Mrs. Sri Lanka for Mrs. World organising committee headed by me and to my greatest disappointment against the Mrs. World Organisation, the final arbiter of the Mrs. World Pageant challenging their authority and denying the final decision made by the organisation,” Jayasinghe wrote.

He added : “Therefore, following the mandate conferred upon me, Chandimal Jayasinghe as the National Director of Mrs. Sri Lanka for Mrs. World, I hereby would denounce the title of Mrs. Pushpika De Silva who was crowned on the 4th of April 2021 as the “2021 title holder of Mrs. Sri Lanka for Mrs. World” on (serious disciplinary grounds and misconduct / whatever there is on that section says) and would hereby declare that in the event the title being used or exploited here onwards by Mrs. Pushpika De Silva as “Mrs. Sri Lanka for Mrs. World” and / or “2021 Mrs. Sri Lanka for Mrs. World” in any capacity and in any given occasion locally or internationally would be in violation of the Rules and Regulations of the Mrs. World Pageant and would incur legal liability and / or any other fine / compensation related thereto.”
