August 09, Colombo (LNW): SriLankan Airlines has brought back its scheduled passenger service between Colombo and Kuwait, increasing travel options between Sri Lanka and the Gulf state with six flights operating each week.
The service resumed on August 8, with flights scheduled on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The only day without a scheduled service is Wednesday.
Flight UL229 leaves Bandaranaike International Airport at 5.10 p.m. on the operating days and is due to reach Kuwait at 8.05 p.m. local time.
The return service, UL230, departs Kuwait at 9.10 p.m. and arrives in Colombo at 5.15 a.m. the following morning.
The reinstated route is expected to provide greater convenience for passengers travelling between Sri Lanka and Kuwait, while also strengthening the national carrier’s connectivity with an important destination in the Gulf region.
