CIABOC Questions P.B. Jayasundara Over Airbus Deal

October 01, Colombo (LNW): The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) has taken a lengthy statement from former Treasury Secretary and former Presidential Secretary Dr P.B. Jayasundara as part of its inquiry into allegations linked to the Airbus aircraft deal.

A team of CIABOC officials travelled to Jayasundara’s residence in Nikaweratiya to question him in connection with the ongoing investigation, according to the commission.

Officials spent close to four hours recording his statement, CIABOC said, as investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the controversial transaction.
